Temporary signage is regulated to avoid a proliferation of signage placed in the public right of way and on properties within the village. Excess signage detracts from the appearance of our businesses, and in some cases, can pose a hazard to motorists and pedestrians.
Businesses are permitted to install a permanent frame constructed of wood, metal or other approved material that houses an interchangeable temporary sign no larger than 3'x4'. The permanent frame can be no taller than 5 1/2'. The one-time permit fee is $65.00 and no further permits are required for the interchangeable temporary signage. Businesses can change the temporary sign as many times as they'd like.
