Come join us for Cardboard Boat Races on Saturday, August 14 at Lakefront Park. Races will begin at 12 p.m.
Test out your craftsmanship and build a cardboard boat to race against others. This will be a fun event for people of all ages whether they are sailing their vessel or cheering on from the shoreline.
Registration fee is $15 which includes entry into the boat race, trophies for 1st & 2nd Fastest, and Best of Show, and Fastest Sinking! Additionally, there is a $30 dollar registration that includes the standard registration as well as a boat building kit. The boat building kit includes 1 roll of duct tape, a box cutter, and 8 x 4 ft. of cardboard to use for your boat.
Registration is preferred by August 10, 2023. On-site registration will be available. Registration forms can be found here.
There will be three different age groups competing: 11 & under; 12 to 18; 19 & over.
There will also be food sold at this event.
