The Finance Department is responsible for managing the Village’s financial operations with transparency, accuracy, and accountability. Under the supervision of the Finance Director, the department ensures the sound fiscal management of public resources and supports all Village departments in achieving their service goals.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Accounting & Financial Reporting

    • Maintain accurate financial records
    • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports
    • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
  • Budget & Fiscal Planning

    • Develop and manage the annual operating and capital budgets
    • Monitor expenditures and revenue trends
    • Support long-term financial planning
  • Revenue & Treasury Management

    • Collect and process all Village revenues
    • Manage investments and cash flow
    • Oversee debt issuance and repayment
  • Utility Billing & Collections

    • Administer billing for water, sewer, and garbage services
    • Handle customer inquiries and payment processing
  • Payroll & Purchasing

    • Process payroll for all Village employees
    • Manage procurement of goods and services
    • Ensure compliance with purchasing policies
  • Audit & Compliance

    • Coordinate annual external audits
    • Implement internal controls and risk management practices
  • Accounts Payable & Receivable

    • Process vendor payments and incoming receivables
    • Maintain vendor records and ensure timely disbursements
