Responsibilities

The Northwest Regional Water Reclamation Facility (NWRWRF) provides wastewater treatment services for the communities of the northwest region of Lake County. Current design average flow is 9 million gallons per day with a design maximum flow of 22.5 million gallons per day. The NWRWRF meets environmental standards established by the Environmental Protection Agency on daily discharge to the receiving waters of the Fox River.
